because no other club in the
country would have me as their captain ...
'Honourable' because
I guess that by the time the committee discovered their awful
mistake in appointing me, they felt honour-bound to stick
with their decision.'
These two little opening comments will
give you a 'flavour', as it were, of this witty little speech.
It always gets a good laugh ... especially the story about
