- The Real McCoy Comments:
Many business people who are faced with the job of giving
a farewell speech to a colleague, or a boss or a chairman
who is retiring may have a special story/memory /acknowledgement
about the colleague which they definitely want to include
in their speech. So all you need at this stage is helpful
guidelines - or extra little anecdotes or stories -
that will help you to bring everything together into
a memorable speech. If you fit this category, then this
is definitely the speech choice for you.
It's the Executive Approach to
making a unique speech for yourself - something that
would normally cost you many hundred of dollars to buy.
Here
you'll be guided through the seven basic steps that
can make up the structure of your 'tailor-made' speech.
In each step I give you an option to choose from:
Straightforward,
Unusual and Witty.
And I give you examples of what to say in each option.
I've included jokes and funny stories which you are
welcome to use. Pick and choose whichever mix you
prefer. For example you might pick Straightforward
in Step 2, Witty
in Step 4, Unusual
in Step 5 and so on.
Of
course, you may slot in any of your own stories and
funny client incidents and personal working memories
that you'd prefer to use in the different steps. But
if you can't think of anything to say in any, or
all, of the different steps, then why not use
some of mine.
